Categories of third-party data
- Public registries (RDAP, WHOIS).
- Authoritative public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare, Google).
- Public DNSBL and reputation feeds.
- Geolocation databases derived from public allocation records and inference.
- Certificate transparency and public CA data where applicable.
Availability and change
- Third-party services may rate-limit, throttle, or temporarily fail.
- Providers may change schemas, retire endpoints, or revise data without notice.
- Coverage gaps in upstream data may produce empty or partial results.
Attribution and respect
- Upstream providers are credited on the Data Sources page where appropriate.
- Their terms of use, rate limits, and abuse policies are respected.
- Where a provider offers a public delisting workflow, we link to it rather than maintaining a private allow / block list.
No private feeds
CheckItNowTools does not operate a proprietary reputation, blacklist, or threat-intelligence feed. Verdicts surfaced to users are derived from the documented upstream sources.
