Verification Governance

Responsible Use Policy

How to use CheckItNowTools responsibly — for users, businesses, and researchers.

Use the platform as a starting point

Verification and analysis output is informational. For consequential decisions — security incidents, fraud investigations, takedowns, legal disputes — verify against primary upstream sources and engage qualified professionals.

Do not weaponise results

  • Do not use IP or geolocation data to harass, dox, or threaten individuals.
  • Do not publish reputation, blacklist, or domain analysis as accusations against persons.
  • Do not represent CheckItNowTools output as legal evidence.

Respect target systems

  • Only inspect systems you own or have permission to test.
  • Do not use the platform to enumerate, scan, or attack third-party infrastructure.
  • Respect robots.txt, rate limits, and terms of the systems you query.

Respect data subjects

  • Redacted WHOIS data is private under applicable law — do not attempt to reconstruct it.
  • Treat technical information as you would want yours treated.
