Results are informational
Tool output — IP geolocation, DNS records, WHOIS / RDAP data, blacklist status, SSL certificate details, port reachability, header inspections, and domain reputation — is informational. Results may not always reflect real-time conditions. Caching, DNS propagation, transient routing, upstream feed refresh cadence, ISP policies, and registry update delays can all cause a single lookup to lag reality.
External data sources
IP, DNS, WHOIS, geolocation, blacklist, SSL, and domain information are obtained from external sources — public registries, reputation feeds, RDAP servers, and authoritative DNS resolvers. These sources change over time and occasionally publish errors. See /data-sources for the complete list and /methodology for how each result is computed.
Verify before acting
Results should be independently verified before making any technical, business, security, or legal decision. If a result will affect a customer, an audit, an incident response, a takedown request, a delisting, or any decision with real consequences, cross-check against the primary upstream source (the registry, the reputation provider, the certificate authority) and consider the freshness of the data.
